Marion Thomas Swenson ’39 Scholarship
Eligibility:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Junior or Senior Status (completed 60 or more credits)
- FTT major AND completed 15 credit hours of work in FTT
- Must be enrolled at Buffalo State in spring 2022
Bengal Internship Award
The Bengal Internship Award provides a stipend to students completing an unpaid/underpaid internship related to their future career goals while attending Buffalo State. The stipend covers expenses related to unpaid/underpaid internships, including housing, food, transportation, and other incidental costs and expenses.
Eligibility
- Current Buffalo State student, undergraduate or graduate, in good academic standing.
- Must have completed at least 2 consecutive semesters at Buffalo State, preference given to upper class and graduate students.
- Secured an unpaid/underpaid internship at an approved organization. If selected, internship must be secured.
- Internship must be a minimum of 120 hours worked over the course of at least 4 weeks. Internship must be completed between May 31 and August 18.
NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship
The highest honor that the NRF Foundation can bestow upon a student features a top award of $25,000 and recognition as an emerging leader in retail. Applications for the 2023 NRF Foundation Next Generation Scholarship are open now.
Nancy Belfer Award - $1,000
- FTT fashion design major
- Enrolled in FTT 451 and accepted into Runway
- Must be enrolled at Buffalo State in spring 2021
Betty Bernhard Case Fashion Award - $500
The Betty Bernhard Case Fashion Award recognizes one outstanding student, chosen by FTT faculty, at Honors Convocation each year. The $500 award is awarded at the RUNWAY Fashion Show. This award honors Mrs. Betty Bernhard Case, '39. Mrs. Case requested that her daughter, Mrs. Ekfelt and her husband donate $5,000 to the Buffalo State in her name upon her death. They chose the FTT department because their mother graduated from the Home Economics Department and loved sewing.
